Hello!

I have been so inspired to take photos but never ever get around to actually planting my bum and writing blog posts. So now, after a 10 hour shift at work my feet are too sore to stand in the shower and hence this is the time to write this post!

I bought these lipsticks a while ago, in fact I bought them the day they launched. They are the new(ish) Tarte Cosmetics Rainforest of the Sea Colour Splash Lipstick

They have a whole range of nude-pink shades which are all so wearable yet all so different. The come in this gorgeous blue packaging, I have never seen anything like it, so it makes them easy to find in my lipstick draw! They have gold detailing which compliments the blue so well. Also the box is adorable, with a purple-dark blue fade.

The lipstick itself is one of the most hydrating lipsticks I have ever come across. It literally feels like chapstick, except it has a beautiful intense pigment to it. On the days I wear these lipsticks, I don't even bother applying chapstick; yes. THAT is how hydrating these are.
The longlasting-ness of these is pretty good too, and normally last 4 to 6 hours. They come off a bit  when eating food, but that's expected with most lipsticks, especially hydrating ones.

These lipsticks are amazing and if you're in need of some new nudes, definitely check these out from the Tarte Cosmetics website.

Love always,
Brittany x

I BOUGHT A RECORD PLAYER!!
Me and my boyfriend, Marcus, had been wanting one for forever; we'd been searching the web looking for one, adding heaps of records to our cart, and a waiting new releases for too long.

We fell in love with this House of Marley Stir It Up Turntable, and when it coincidentally went on sale, we knew it was ours. It features a built-in pre-amp that is compatible with any speaker as well as an audio-technica cartridge.

There's something so beautifully hypnotising about watching a record swirling away, and it feels so raw and authentic. I could spend hours just listening and watching the sounds spin away, and honestly, everything does sound better on vinyl. Plus I also feel super good about supporting an artist's whole record, instead of listening to free services where artists do not get profit from their hard work.

So far we have 5 vinyls,
Halsey // Badlands
Lana Del Ray // Born To Die
Coldplay // Ghost Stories
Arctic Monkeys // AM
Florence and The Machine // Lungs

PLUS Marcus pre-ordered Ed Sheeran's new album Division which is getting delivered next week!!!!

Have any of you got a record player? What's your favourite record?

Love always,
Brittany

I know the hype about this product has been and gone, but regardless of my slowness to participate in new trends, this product is fabulous.

I struggle so much with powder, in fact I actually stopped putting on powder because it actually looked worse then having a greasy-oily-melted-mess on my face. THAT is how bad it was.
That was, however, until I met the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder. This is the first powder I have tried (I've only tried two before this... just a FYI) that does not leave big splotchy-cakey-marks on my forehead within 3 hours of applying. Hence, I am a big fan of this powder.

Another bonus to this powder is it allowed be to venture into the world of baking (no, not cupcakes, but baking my face). If you are living under a rock like myself and have no idea what baking is, let me enlighten you. It's basically when you take large amounts of powder and place it in places you want to highlight, leave it there for a few minutes, and swipe it away with a brush. Whoever thought of this is an absolute GENIUS; hello creaseless, flawless, brightened makeup that will last for what seems like forever. I normally bake under my eyes and under my contour, and then once I've finished baking, instead of sweeping the powder away, I use it to set the rest of my face.

I am beyond obsessed with this product, and would definitely recommend checking it out at your nearest Sephora or David Jones!

Love always,
Brittany
