Welcome to another episode of Travel Diaries. Read by previous entry here, where I visited Durban. The next stop on our journey was Newcastle, a small town where most of my family lived, and where we spent Christmas and New Year.

We drove up from Durban which was about a 3 and a half hour drive, but good snacks, good company and a good destination made it bearable.

When we were there we stayed in my dad's aunt and uncles, Glynis and Gareth's, house. It was a lovely lovely house, extremely unique and warm. Glynis and Gareth were extremely welcoming, they opened up their arms to us, and made their home feel like ours.
The also had four dogs, so as you can imagine, I was in doggie heaven!

We also got to spend time with more of our cousins, which was awesome. They had grown up and it was so much fun hanging out with them, especially after not seeing them for so long, and they had a new dog, called Vegas who wore a very cute christmas outfit.

We also had a huge christmas eve party with all our extended family (probably about 70 people) and it was awesome! It was definitely quality family time.

That was pretty much all we did, spend time with family, which was actually probably the best way to spend our time, seeing as though we hadn't seen any family in what felt like forever.
