I have the most amazing friends who surprised me by giving me the new Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette recently. I was so astounded that they bought this for me and so grateful.
I have never actually owned something by Urban Decay. It was only release in Australia earlier this year and I hadn't got around to buying anything yet, so when I unwrapped this the excitement and gratitude was overwhelming.

This palette has a marble-like packaging and is beautiful. It feels impressive (if that even makes sense) and is something that you hold and go 'wow.' It has silver writing on the lid and it is so unique and different compared to the other Naked Palettes.
Inside is a huge mirror which is going to be so helpful when travelling and using on-the-go.
There is also a brush with two ends, one of which is a fluffy blending brush and the other is a more pointed crease brush. Both of which would be perfect to use to create a Smokey Eye.

There are twelve shades in the palette, 4 shimmery, 4 semi-shimmery and 4 matte. Each beautiful and unique in their own way. There are very very bendable and smooth, making them easy to create the perfect smoky eye.

If you haven't looked at this palette before, I would defiantly go swatch some of the colours and have a look at it. It is definitely worth the price tag.

Another huge thank you to every single one of my friends who bought this palette for me, you are all so special to my heart.

Todays blogpost is summer essentials post, where I tell you everything I will be making use of this summer. Incase some of you don't know, I live in Australia where it is currently summer (we don't exactly have a 'white' christmas) but nevertheless christmas is always an exciting time of year, so expect some christmas posts up soon!

The first favourite is not only this beautiful dress but also the online clothing store, Boohoo. Firstly, they were kind enough to send me this dress, along with another top which I have been wearing non-stop. This dress is a slightly different take on a typical t-shirt dress and has this knotted detail in the middle, exposing a small amount of your torso. This dress looks great layered, or worn by itself and you see this dress on me in my latest video, here. This dress is perfect for summer and I would definitely check out the Boohoo holiday shop, here.

The next favourite is a tanning mousse, which was sent to me by Cocoa Brown which has just launched in Australia. They sent me the tanning mousse and mitt, which are a perfect combination to achieve the perfect tan. I'm always a little sceptical to tan in the sun, seeing as though skin cancer is getting more and more common due to the harsh Australian sun. This tanning mousse, however, works wonders and can be left on for 1, 2 or 3 hours (depending on the intensity you would like) and is then washed off and leaves behind a natural, gorgeous tan that lasts for 7 days. Check them out here

Another essential is mine this summer is plants. There's something about caring and nurturing for another organism that always seems to calm me, or make me feel good. Unfortunately I don't exactly have 'green fingers' and plants I had as a little girl always seemed to die (oops). That's why I have been loving Cacti, they are hardy plants that honestly seem as though they will last for a very long time. I've had this one for around 3 months and it still looks as good as when I first got it. I got it from Big W for only $5!

Next is some makeup/lip-care products which I have been loving for the warmer months.
First is a waterproof mascara from Maybelline, Lash Sensational. This mascara lengthens and volumes and has been my go-to mascara recently. The waterproof version is just as good, and is perfect when at the beach or pool.

A light weight foundation is always a good idea in the summer, and that's why the Maybelline Dream Wonder Foundation has a special place in my heart. It is summer easy to apply, lasts all day and is extremely light (but can be built up).

Another essential is a lip balm, and I have been loving my EOS lip balm in the flavour Strawberry Sorbet, it's extremely summer-y.

A good highlighter is perfect to give your skin a natural summer 'glow' and my favourite highlighter has to be the Stila Eyeshadow in Kitten. It is extremely natural yet still noticeable.

Colouring books have become so popular in the past few months, I personally find them extremely calming and rewarding and they are the perfect pool-side activity. I got this book from Big W and it contains 50 calming mandalas.

The last essential has to be a good book, and for me this has been Never Always Sometimes by Adi Alsaid. This is a young adult novel that captures what it is like to 'not fit in.' I felt such a connection between myself and the main character and it's one of those books you'll never be able to put down.

Those are all my Summer Essentials!
What have your seasonal essentials been?
