Hey Everyone!
So I recently heard about the Maybelline special at Priceline, and I couldn't resist picking up a few things. One of the specials was 30% off, and on top of that if you spent over $25 you got a free gift (so you can see why I was tempted to purchase some things)! I picked up a few items, and I won't be giving you a full review (those are coming soon) but I will be giving you a little first impressions/ why I decided to pick them up. So, onto the haul!

Dream Wonder Foundation
Shade: '10 - Porcelain Ivory'
I've heard so many good things about this foundation and since my normal foundation didn't match my skin tone anymore I decided to pick this up. And I'm going to do a review on it later so lets just say it is so good!

Dream Touch Lumi Concealer
Shade: '01 - Ivory'
I thought about picking this up to go with the foundation and although I haven't heard much about this product - it definitely pleasantly surprised me. It is perfect for under concealing and it's another fantastic concealer from Maybelline.

Okay, who hasn't heard about this one? This one is so popular in the beauty blogging world and I had never tried it, so of course I had to pick it up. So far I am pleasantly surprised and I actually love the sponge applicator! I was expecting it to be not-so-good but I was wrong.

Shades: 'Nude Perfection' and 'Red Essential'
What's not to love about these pencils? I've heard so much about them and my expectations were exceeded. Basically; super pigmented, super creamy and just the perfect lip pencil. And I love the shades too! Another review is coming soon!

Now onto the stuff I got for free (yes, you heard me, free!)

I haven't tried this yet but I've not heard too much about it - so I'm a bit apprehensive. I've tried on of Maybelline's Colossal Volume Mascara's before and while it's good, it's not great. But maybe this one will prove me wrong ;)

Colur Sensation Lipstick
Shade: '20 - Pink and Proper'
I'm a bit afraid of pinks so I'm not sure how it's going to go - but it'll be fun to try out! When I swatched this it is super creamy and gives a nice pink sheen, so we'll see when I use it on my lips!

So that's all I got from Maybelline at Priceline!

That's all from me today, I'll see you next week!

Essence is a European makeup brand with really affordable makeup. I needed a blush (slowly building my makeup collection) and I had heard good things about the Essence blushes. The Essence makeup products are not tested on animals and are really affordable for their quality. I brought this blush in the shade BabyDoll (#20).

Pigmentation: 9/10
Definitely very pigmented for the price and it leaves a natural glow to your cheeks. I've heard different things about some of the other colours but this Babydoll colour was perfect and had just the right about of pigmentation

Affordability: 10/10
These blushes are only $4.25 at Priceline and are amazing quality for their price.

Packaging: 7/10
The packaging of the brush is quite cheap, but can be expected when the blush only costs $4.25. It is tightly secured once closed and there is no way this will pop open without you opening it. They are quite small and easy to take travelling.

Recommend? Definitely
For the price and quality I would highly recommend this blush to anyone who's new to makeup like me and wants to give blush a go. I was definitely surprised with the overall quality of the blush.

I decided to purchase the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation as I've heard so much about it. Although this is my first real foundation (I previously used BB creams), I still thought it was worth reviewing as it was certainly made transitioning to foundations a positive experience. Not to say I won't be using BB Creams though, they will always be one of my go-to's.

So now onto the review:
This foundation is a perfect match to my skin colour, and blends so well. It's not to cake-y also, and provides a nice coverage while also maintaining a natural look.
It also suits my skin type, as it's not to drying or hydrating - I find it's the perfect balance. When I started using foundation I was really worried about break outs and pimples starting to pop up (as nearly everything I put on my skin leads to pimples) however I was pleasantly surprised as I haven't broken out at all when I've used this. Which was a huge relief!
I would definitely recommend this product as it is a great asset to my makeup collection

Necklaces - Sportsgirl, Lovisa
Rings - Citybeach, H&M

Nail Polish - Essie 'Fiji'

I recently decided to purchase the new Real Techniques Sculpting Set as they were on sale in Priceline. They were $10 off the original price which was around $45.
This is quite expensive considering you can get them of iHerb for a lot cheaper however I wasn't prepared for waiting for shipping (yes, I'm inpatient).

In this set there are 3 brushes:
Sculpting Brush (left), Fan brush (middle) and setting brush (right)

Sculpting Brush
This brush is quite a dense, angled brush that is prefect for creating a harsh or soft contour. I love the look it gives and it is very easy to use, if you know how. I would say this brush wouldn't be for beginners as things can go wrong quite easily, however if you're confident in your ability to contour, definitely try this brush.

Fan Brush
This brush is just what it says, a fan brush. I like to use this to dust on some highlight on the tops of my cheekbones and down the centre of my face as it only uses a little bit of product. This brush is super soft extremely thin - perfect for highlighting.

Setting Brush
This brush is slightly tapered, and is a lot smaller than the other brushes.  I like to use this brush to set my under-eye concealer as it fits perfectly. It can also be used to add some highlighter.
This is a very multi-purpose brush.

Have you tried these brushes?
What do you think of them?

As many of you may have seen, one of my first blog post was about my old room (view here) and what I was planning to do with it. I then redid my room, painted the bright pink wall and changed the colour scheme to something a lot more natural (view my new room
The last finishing touch was adding some art to the space above my desk. I decided to DIY it and ended up making these two canvases.

I cut individual pieces of twine and glued each piece all around the image. I used mirrors as my central pieces and all the twine followed the patterns of the mirrors (I don't really know if that makes sense, but you can see from the images!)

What do you guys think?

Nice smells are something I can never get enough of. They can make a house feel a variety of different adjectives and can add to the atmosphere.
Below, I've listed my top things that you can easily do to make your house smell good.

#1. Reed Diffusers
Reed diffusers are a great way to make your house smell good. They also look quite nice to, and can not only a smell but a sense of elegance to your interior design. The ones I have linked are from airwick and are gorgeous. I would highly recommened them.

#2. Scented Candles
There's something beautiful about scented candles. They make my bedroom feel warm and cosy and I could watch the flame flicker for ages. I find candles extremely relaxing and scented ones are a plus. These gorgeous scented candles are from Airwick as well and I would again recommend getting your hands on some. The benefits of candles is that unlike Reed Diffusers, you can blow them out and the smell will gradually disappear. If you use reed diffusers the smell is there constantly, which I personally like having the option to blow out my candles to stop the smell.

#3. Room Spray
Room spray is also another excellent way of making your room smell nice. They are easy and quick to use and make your room smell nice almost instantly. My favourite are definitely the ones from the Body Shop!

How do you make your room/house smell good?

So then end of april has arrived and it's time for another favourites posts! These are probably one of my favourites to do and read as I love seeing what people have been into in the past month.

Taylor Swift Incredible Things Perfume
This perfume smells absolutely amazing.
The thing that I like most about this perfume is that it lasts all day and people still compliment me on my perfume after 12+ hours of wearing it without reapplying.
The packaging is also extremely cute and I love the colours.

Australis OH HAI BROW! Brow Shaping Kit
Incase you missed it, I have featured this in another blog post (here) where you can see it compared to other brow products like the L'oreal Brow Plumper Mascara. The kit itself is brilliant but my favourite thing is the highlighting shade. It is extremely pigmented and it sits beautifully on the brow bone - would definitely recommend.

Sportsgirl Rose Gold Phone Case
If you've seen my Rose Gold Blogpost (here) you will know I have been obsessing over rose gold. So much so, I decided to purchase this rose gold phone case that it simply beautiful. I got it from Sportsgirl and it was only $10! They have also released a new silver version which I might pick up too!

Layering Necklaces
Lately I have been loving layering necklaces, and I feel as though they can compliment any outfit. I especially love little dainty ones, like the ones shown in the photo above. I got these two in a set from Lovisa, and being in a set makes them so much easier to wear.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation
A proper review will be featured on the blog on Saturday, so you can read an in-depth review. In brief, I have been loving this foundation as it lasts all day and is the perfect medium coverage. I find it really goes well with my skin tone

What have your favourites been for April?
