So today I decided to go for a walk along the beach again. Unfortunately Cody, my dog, hurt his back so he was unable to come and therefore it was just me and my family. Walking on the beachfront made me realise one thing in life, the world is beautiful, and sometimes you don't realise what you really have. We all see pictures on Tumblr and think 'wow I wish I could go there' but we forget that all around us are beautiful places that could be 'Tumblr-worthy'. We take for granted the things we see everyday, the things that are always there.
On our walk we stopped by a cute cafe, a little bookstore and Baskin Robbins. We talked together as a family and it was definitely a special moment. Here are some pictures of my ordinary walk and making it 'Tumblr Worthy'.

Have you got any 'Tumblr-worthy' moments to share?

I have never been a user of makeup however recently that has changed. I started out by buying a few products. I started with the basics and decided I wanted something light and natural so of course I started with the Garnier BB Cream.

The texture was quite smooth and when applied on my face felt like a moisturizer. It did however make my skin a tad more greasy but nothing to noticeable or dramatic. What I would recommend is putting a powder over to make it more matte. With SPF 15 I felt confident when walking into the sun that I wouldn’t have to worry about additional heavy sunscreen. The coverage on my face was good and gave my skin a nice glow without the heaviness and caked-face-ness of normal foundation. It didn’t completely cover up spots however made them less noticeable.

For eyes, I went with the Maybelline Eye Liner in black. It was very smooth and soft however was had to put on, so I’m thinking of purchasing a gel liner. I also added a touch of the Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Mascara which certainly made my eyes pop. The only downside was that this was slightly clumpy however not so bad considering it was a drug-store mascara.

For lips I used the Revlon Pink Cognito 820 Lipstick. It was a nice colour that was very subtle and wasn’t too dramatic. It gave my lips a nice shine and wasn’t heavy as some lipsticks are. I highly recommend it if you're looking for something more natural.

Overall this look was very natural and is definitely going to be my everyday makeup routine. It’s very simple but just adds a little something to your face. I have enjoyed all of these products and would definitely recommend them.
I’m currently on the hunt for a nice inexpensive concealer and some brushes, any recommendations?

That’s right! Spring is here and since it’s too hot to stay curled up in bed all day, I decided to go out for a walk along a beach. The sun was shining and the early morning sea was glistening like uncut sapphires – in other words; it was beautiful. I went with my dog who enjoyed it just as much as I did and together we walked all along the coast for a good hour. By the time we got back to the car we were both exhausted and in need of a rest. So we stopped by this bench and had a drink. I offered my dog, Cody, some water from the doggy water fountains however instead of a thanks, I only received a look of shock and a ‘you really expect me to drink from THAT? Where all the other dogs have drank from?’ look … wow he isn’t a King Charles Cavalier for nothing.  Anyways that has been my first experience of the feeling of Spring here in Australia.

What has been your first experience of Spring?

‘Sincere September’ Playlist – Spotify
As spring sets in, the morning chills ease and the need for fluffy socks slowly disappears. Although for me, this can be a bit saddening (since I thrive off staying in bed all day under mountains of blankets), spring is also a time for new music. My September Playlist is available on Spotify for all your ears. This playlist has some chill music to get you ready for the relaxing summer months ahead of us.
My favorite artist recently has definitely been Ecosmith, who many of you may have heard from their single, ‘Cool Kids’ but after listening to some of their other songs I have a genuine love for their band. I especially like ‘Tell her you love her’ and ‘Bright’ which of course are included in my playlist!
My favorite album for the month of September has definitely been The sound track for The Fault In Our Stars. The sound track is absolutely BRILLIANT and I cannot deny listening to it on repeat …

Whilst in the midst of winter, I found myself day after day curled up on my bed reading endless novels. However, one found it’s way into my heart and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it ever since. The book ‘Eleanor and Park’ by Rainbow Rowell is an outstandingly written novel about a teen romance. By this point many of you may be sick of the perfect-girl-meets-perfect-boy novels, and believe me, I am too. But this novel is different, the two main characters, Eleanor and Park, are far from perfect. It’s a happy, light read that is great for lazy days at home. I won’t spoil it too much but I think we could all wish for love like Eleanor and Park.

So upon changing my life around, I decided I needed a new room. So off I went to Pinterest to look for some Roomspiration. I also looked on YouTube of various Room Tours when I came across Megan Rienks’s Room Tour. Her room was exactly the theme I wanted to go for so I started changing my room. Previously, my room had been very pink and floral, with floral quilts, fairy lights, pink walls, and fake flowers – it was time for a change. I decided to strip it back to the basics and go for a white/neutral theme with an accent of Silver. I’m still unsure of when I’m going to go from here, but change is on the way. Below are pics of my room currently, the pink floral one, and hopefully by the end of the year I’ll have something much more neutral.

Have you done any room decorating this year? Or are you going to? Tell me in the comments!
